Oxfam Trailwalker Finished!

Posted by Alex on June 19, 2011.

The Oxfam Trailwalker concluded on Sunday morning. Advance Foot Clinic is excited to say that Aidan and Chloe completed the challenge at 4:39 on Saturday afternoon. An impressive time of 32 hours and 9 minutes for a 100km walk. Alex and Janice made it to the Gold Creek checkpoint – an impressive 72km from the start before having to retire due to the flaring up of a pre-existing injury.

Our dedicated podiatrists worked all night and day at Gold Creek treating many injured walkers. Angela went without sleep for longer than most of the walkers.

Many thanks to our dedicated support crew – Our team would not have made it very far at all without their efforts. After walking all day and night, it was good to know that we would have a hot meal, a chair, a blanket and a foot massage waiting for us.

Oxfam Trailwalker

Posted by Alex on June 16, 2011.

It is now less than 24 hours until three of our podiatrists start their 100km walk through the bushlands of Brisbane in support of Oxfam.

The team are proud to announce that they have raised over $1400! All money raised goes straight to Oxfam Australia to support their vital work in Australia and around the world.

We're raising funds for Oxfam AustraliaThe other staff aren’t getting off easily though. Angela, Lauren, Pam, Amy, Emma and Mel will be chipping in to help any walkers that are suffering foot problems at the Gold Creek checkpoint.

Donations will continue to be taken until July 19. If you would like to lend your support and encouragement, visit the Oxfam Tailwalker website.
