Otherwise, you do no not need a medical referral to receive treatment from a podiatrist or to be able to claim a rebate for podiatry services from a private health fund.

Important information for your appointment:

•    Please bring your shoes. Particularly sports shoes and the ones you wear the most often. They may be able to tell us about your walking pattern or they may need some modifications added. 
•    It helps us to see your scans and reports of scans (MRI, x-rays, ultrasound, CT etc.), so bring these along if you have scans. Please note that it is not necessary to have a scan before seeing us. We often prefer to order our own if needed.
•    Some people find it helpful to bring a list of questions, or a list of their condition-history (if lengthy) as a way to ensure all aspects of their concerns are covered efficiently.
•    If you are new to our practice you will need to fill out a new patient information sheet prior to treatment. Come a few minutes early to save time at the appointment.
•    If you have private health insurance we can swipe your card at the time of the appointment and you will only need to cover the gap.
•    We are able to accept VISA, MASTERCARD, EFTPOS and Cash. If you have appropriate referrals we can also bulk bill Veterans Affairs and assist you in claiming your rebate from Medicare.
